On Friday, December 8, 2017, members of the Huffman Education Foundation headed to Huffman schools to award the recipients of the Fall 2017 grant cycle.
At Ben Bowen Early Childhood Center, P.E. Coach Melissa Griffith received a grant for “Developmental Gymnastics” sponsored by Aaron and Lisa Alexander, and Pre-K teachers led by Bonnie Jackson received a grant for “PET: Pre-K Education Technology.”
Copeland Elementary teachers were awarded 4 grants: Rana Martinez and Amanda Sparks for “Principals Locked Out”, Janna Pokluda and Leslie Taff for “Falcon Running Club” sponsored by Monica Oncale, Ashton Bundrick for “Coffee Cart” sponsored by State Farm agent Sarah Whiting, and Veronica Hallum for “The Art of Technology: Combining Digital and Traditional Art.”
Huffman Middle School teachers won 3 grants: Jodi Lamb for “Audio Books for Students”, Melissa Rickli “Broadcasting Upgrade”, and Michael Willis for “VEX EDR Robots” sponsored by Mark and Nancy Farrior.
Hargrave High School teacher Cristina Sizemore teacher won a grant for “HHS Italian Interactive Notebooks and Italian Culture.”
